san pedro

san pedro.plant of the gods.san pedro is the tricerous pachonoi cacti.this plant cactus has been used ceremonially for hundreds, thousands of years from the high desserts to mountain tops of places in south America.san pedro stands for saint  peter.this is not its original name.this was giving to the cacti by the Spanish or catholics.the local indigenous peoples ate this cactus and many other plants for many reasons and in doing so found there gods.this was and is considered offensive and against god so the natives were punished accordingly until they gave up there false gods.by worshiping saint peter in fact the catholics impressed a long lived re branding and changed a cactus into a saint.
